Yesterday I told you that Hubble was wrong.
I clarify in this note.
The scientific method allows for incomplete truths. Given all the observations that Hubble had, the Universe seemed to be expanding at a constant rate. He did not see the explosions of Supernovae Ia, which the Physics Nobel Prize winners of 2011 discovered. Hubble was not wrong, he did not say: The Universe is Accelerating. His observations were incomplete, and there was no way he would've known this. Filippenko et al., with newer and better equipment, observed the accelerated expansion.
That is why they got a million dollars last year, they proved Hubble incomplete. The Universe is expanding, not at a constant rate, but at an ever increasing rate!
Alexei Vladimir Filippenko, like everybody else, was not expecting the Universe to behave like this, until his postdoctoral collaborator, Adam Riess, confirmed this result, he accepted it.
